The new Babolat Pure Drive Roddick GT has been given is stiffer and heavier properties than the normal Pure Drive racket offering increased power and stability for performance on court that matches the Roddick way. This means you'll be hitting heavy shots and dominating opponents with a potent blend of power and control.
Designed to resemble the weight and characteristics of Roddick's racket, the Roddick Pure Drive Junior carries a bit of bulk, produces good power and a solid feel. It's essentially an upgraded version of the Pure Drive receiving a boost in all categories. There's no shortage of power, spin, and solidity here. Expect the same strong points as in Roddick's game, big serves and solid groundstrokes.
The new Pure Drive Roddick features Graphite Tungston in the form of GT technology. Graphite Tungston filaments are located throughout the frame to help strengthen the frame against torsional instability.
Woofer technology in the grommets is the first technology which makes the frame and the strings interact when striking the ball. This boils down to 25% more contact time between the ball and the strings which in turn means more control and a comfortable feel for you.
Comfort and control are enhanced by the Cortex Damping System which links the handle and the frame to filter and dampen vibrations interfering with feel, to enhance the feel of the ball. High frequency Vibrations which interfere with feel are filtered out whilst Low frequency which provide feel are maintained.
